Lessons and tests
A lesson is made of steps. The top of the page shows which step you are on; "Back" and "Next" move between them. Where you stopped is remembered.
- Theory is text, notation, a keyboard and sound. "Listen" plays an example.
- Practice is exercises checked at once. You cannot go on until every exercise of the step is answered. Practice is not graded: mistakes are fine.
The lesson test
At the end of a lesson is the button "Take the lesson test". The numbers at the top let you move between exercises in any order; an answer is saved at once. "Finish" gives the result. The test is passed with the pass score or more (usually 80%). Exercises left without an answer count as wrong.
A passed test opens the next lesson. You can take a test as many times as you like: the exercises are drawn anew each time, and every attempt is kept in "History".
Listening exercises
- A fragment may have a limited number of listens. The counter is not refilled by switching to another exercise and back, or by reloading the page.
- Before a rhythm the metronome counts in. A note under the button says how many of the first clicks are the count-in: they are not part of the exercise.
- If sound comes late (in wireless headphones, for example), calibrate the delay in "Settings".
If the connection drops
Answers are not lost: they wait in a queue and are sent when the connection is back. A test can be finished once every answer has been delivered.
